Link? Link! is a timed connect-style matching game. Inside of an arcade cabinet, the player connects and removes round stuffed animals. Their goals are to earn a high score and remove as many as possible before time runs out on a digital timer in the upper-center area. They also attempt to earn bonuses and unlock new levels.
The player uses a white connecting line and dots to connect cats, foxes, lions, penguins, pigs, sheep and other animal toys. They can connect three adjacent matching small animals or a rare large one with an adjacent small one of the same type. Additionally, they can make connections across gaps.
Each connection earns the player points and extra seconds on the timer. The player also earns a partial charge on a horizontal bonus bar below the machine marked "Fever," which they fill by completing combo streaks and long chain moves. Fever status places them in a brief, time-locked rush period that allows them to earn bonus points. If they achieve it across three levels, they receive three stars on the home screen and then a free rush period at the start of the next level.
Link? Link! provides the player with rainbow swirl bombs after they complete specific moves. A bomb removes a mix of animals in a large blast radius.
The game displays many of the player's stats on a history data list accessible via a button marked with a piece of paper on the home screen. The list features information about the player's last-played level, best score, best chains, combos, total play count and total removed animals.
